A stunning twist in the events surrounding the decimation of Romanias top zombie kill squad was revealed today.
Despite the governments unwillingness to comment, several local ham radio operators have said they picked up a faint signal from someone claiming to be with the ill fated '305'.
Whilst filming a 'seek and destroy' clean up mission as part of their popular reality show, Romania's 18 man zombie hunting squad, 'The 305' were massacred over the weekend of the 5th, along with the 3 man crew of the Romanian reality show.
The radio signals were transmitted only once at 3.05 pm local time. Most of the message was inaudible due to a weak signal and loud background noise. However, the words "we are in south east stairwell. Non operational. Ammo out. Need immediate extraction." can clearly be heard.
Although the message has not been authenticated, the spirits of a nation have been raised by the news. A day of national mourning was planned for this weekend. Following the news, their are now calls for an immediate rescue mission of any possible survivors.
There has been speculation that at least one of the zombie hunting teams spotlighted by ZWN in the 'Zombie hunters of the world' series may be enrolled to help. However at this time we were only able to contact representatives for Italy's lone sniper 'Fantasma' who said "Although he sympathizes with the '305' in their plight, he works alone and would consider this operation more suitable for a large extraction unit.
We also attempted to contact Great Britains 'The Firm' but a spokesperson for their elusive leader 'Mr. Grinder' told us simply "we don't do rescue missions.'
