Reanimate Found In North Carolina
Sheriff Lunde stated that a call was received regarding a “suspicious person” from a group of local dove hunters in a nearby cornfield this past weekend. The report continues that they had spread out in a five-acre cornfield in order to flush out the doves. The field had just been harvested but visibility was down to about ten feet in every direction. One of the hunters stated that he had been settled in for about twenty-five minutes. After that, he was able to take a couple shots at a dove flying over. He reports that he then heard what he believed to be a sort of 'moaning sound' coming from somewhere in the middle of the field. Thinking that possibly one of his companions had accidentally been shot or injured somehow, he went towards the sound to investigate. The hunter stated that he came upon a 'very disturbing sight.'
Speculation as to where the reanimate originated seem to be focusing on a nearby illegal 'Zombie Farm' that was discovered and closed in May of last year.
City officials have not at this point declared a quarantine situation, however, the cornfiled and several connecting crop fileds have been control burned as a precaution.
